Transmission Repairs

Pacific Driveline Ltd (PDL) are the only accredited TWIN DISC dealers for New Zealand with direct access to the Twin Disc factory. PDL have a fully equipped workshop with special tooling for servicing transmissions and gearboxes and a diesel engine powered simulator for testing all transmission work that is undertaken in the workshop.

As well as the simulator PDL use the ‘Twin Disc Data Acquisition System’ (TDAQ) which is a specialist computer based diagnostic tool for testing Twin Disc Quickshift transmissions and other programmable equipment such as modulating clutches and transmissions as well as CANBUS based digital equipment. PDL technicians have access to the ‘Twin Disc Marine Field Service Tool’ (MFST) which is a necessary requirement for updating, programming and diagnosing the EC300 marine controller, EJS (Express Joystick System) and EPS (Express Positioning System). PDL have an equipped service vehicle for undertaking on-site service work as required.


Apart from Twin Disc, PDL are accredited agents for Vulkan couplings, Aquadrive Thrust bearings and CV shafts, Technodrive transmissions and power take-offs, Transfluid fluid couplings, Isoflex engine mounts and couplings, Kiwi Shaft Seals and Thordon Bearings.


PDL will undertake repair and testing of other brands of transmissions like ZF, Tonanco, Reintjes, Masson, PRM, Borg Warner and others.


All repair work is stripped, assessed and quoted to keep the customer informed before carrying out any required major work.


PDL work closely with Henley Engineering as part of the same group to answer all your marine related driveline requirements from the flywheel to the rudder.
